Create segmented audiences in Attentive based on REVIEWS.io events, and send targeted and personalised marketing & review invitations to customers. The following article includes:

Requirements

  • An active Attentive account.

  • An active REVIEWS.io account.

Navigation

  • Sign into your REVIEWS.io dashboard.

  • Click Integrations >> Attentive.


Installation

1. Add REVIEWS.io Integration

Click the button on the Attentive integration page in REVIEWS.io to add the REVIEWS.io Attentive Integration and allow us to integrate with your account.

2. REVIEWS.io is requesting access to your Attentive Account

You will then be taken to your Attentive dashboard where you will need to authorize the integration to all data points to flow seemlessly between the two platforms.

Once authorized, you will receive the following notification that this is complete in REVIEWS.io:


Events

When we receive data about an order, or when a customer leaves a review, we send that data to your Attentive account to allow you to segment your subscribers or set up Journeys based on these events. The following events can be used with Attentive:

1. REVIEWS.io - Order Data Received

This event is triggered when we receive information about an Order from your store.

NOTE: Add our Dynamic Link feature to your account to receive this event, and request Company & Product reviews directly from Attentive.

PRO TIP: You need to have at least one active REVIEWS.io invitation template. If the customer clicks the Dynamic Link, their REVIEWS.io invitation will be paused.

Segmenting Customers

You're able to segment your subscribers based on your REVIEWS.io events, and the data within those events.

Step One

From your Attentive Dashboard, click "Segments" in the left-hand-side navigation, and then the "Create Segment" button & choose your desired Segment type.

Step Two

Choose the events and conditions you wish to make up your segment. For example, to return customers who have left a REVIEWS.io Company Review, select "REVIEWS.io - Company Review Left"

PRO TIP: You can also filter events to refine your Segment even further. For example, to Segment your Subscribers based on those who have left a 5 star Product Review with an image, you could do so like this:


Journeys

Journeys can be used to send data based on a customer's REVIEWS.io events, including inviting a customer to leave a review, or thanking them for leaving a review.

Step One

From your Attentive Dashboard, click "Journeys" in the left-hand-side navigation, and then the "Create Journey" button.

From here, select "Start from Scratch".

Step Two

Choose your desired Journey Trigger. For example, select "REVIEWS.io - Order Data Received" to send an SMS to customers who we've received order data for.

Step Three

From here, you're able to configure your Journey however you wish. For an example, if you want to send a Review Collection link to a customer, you could drag the "Send Text Message" block into your journey, and then use the "Personalization" button to add data from the REVIEWS.io event.

And that's it! For the example above, anybody who enters that Journey will be sent an SMS containing a Review Collector link.


Uninstalling

You can uninstall the REVIEWS.io Attentive Integration via Settings → Integrations in your Attentive dashboard.
