Features REVIEWS.io doesn't currently support

This article outlines features and scenarios that REVIEWS.io does not currently support. Where possible, we've included recommended workarounds.

Changing the main product identifier type (Shopify only)

This feature is available for Shopify stores only.

REVIEWS.io supports changing the primary product identifier type used across your Shopify store directly from the dashboard.

For example, if your catalogue and widgets are currently using Variant SKU, you can switch them globally to use Product ID.

To ensure reviews display correctly, your product catalogue and review widgets must always use the same identifier type.

Workaround: Use Product Grouping (Grow plan and higher)

If reviews have already been collected against one identifier type (such as Variant SKU) but you want them to appear under another product identifier (such as Product ID), you can use Product Grouping.

Product Grouping allows you to group related SKUs together so that reviews collected across grouped products are shared and displayed across all products within that group.
