If you have invitations in your queue that you don't want to send — such as test orders, cancelled orders, or invitations to wrong email addresses — pausing is the way to stop them from going out. This guide explains your options for managing unwanted invitations and keeping your queue clean.
Pausing is the only way to stop an invitation from sending
There is no option to permanently delete an invitation from your queue. Pausing stops an invitation from being sent and keeps it in your history — it will not go out unless you manually resume it.
To pause an individual invitation:
Go to Invitations → Invitation History.
Find the invitation you want to stop. Use the filters (Status, Order ID, Email Address, Date Range) to narrow your results.
Select the invitation and choose Pause.
A paused invitation will not be sent unless you resume it. It stays in your history as a record of the order

Handling test and cancelled orders
Test orders placed during setup, and orders that were later cancelled, may have generated invitations sitting in your queue. The recommended approach is to pause them so they never go out:
Go to Invitation History and filter by Status: In Progress.
Use the Order ID or Email Address filter to identify test or cancelled orders.
Select the invitations and choose Pause.
Once paused, these invitations will sit in your history but will not send. You don't need to take any further action — they won't be resumed automatically.
Overdue invitations
Invitations that have been in the queue for more than 4 weeks past their scheduled send date will not be sent automatically — they stay as In Progress but are effectively stuck. You have two options:
Pause the invitation — if you no longer want it sent, pausing it prevents any risk of it going out if the send date is ever updated.
Edit the send date — if you do still want the invitation sent, open the invitation, update the send date to a future date, and it will re-enter the active queue.
Your monthly invitation limit
Your monthly invitation limit is the total number of invitations that can be sent in a billing period. When you reach your limit, sending is automatically paused until your limit resets at the start of your next billing period — invitations already In Progress are held in the queue and are not lost.
Trial accounts are limited to 25 invitations. If you're on a trial and invitations have stopped sending, this is the most likely cause.
To check your current usage and limit, go to your plan settings in the dashboard. If you need to increase your limit before it resets, upgrading your plan is the available option.
Paused invitations and your limit
Pausing an invitation that hasn't been sent yet does not release it from your monthly quota — the quota is consumed when an invitation is sent. If your limit is reached and you have queued invitations you don't want to send, pausing them prevents them from going out once the limit resets, giving you more control over which invitations are prioritised when sending resumes.
Need a permanent removal?
In rare cases — for example, a large number of test orders that are cluttering your history — permanent removal of invitations can be handled by our team. Contact support via the chat icon in the dashboard with the relevant order IDs and we'll assess whether removal is possible.
