How to cancel your REVIEWS.io subscription

Cancellation notification and policy

Only the main account admin can cancel a subscription. If you're not the main admin, visit your user dashboard to find who the admin is, and ask them to follow these steps.


Follow the steps below to cancel your REVIEWS.io subscription. If your billing runs through Shopify, skip to the Shopify Billing section — the steps are different.

Standard cancellation (REVIEWS.io billing)

You can go directly to the Subscription settings page, or navigate there via the dashboard:

  1. Log in to your REVIEWS.io Dashboard.

  2. Click Account in the left-hand sidebar.

  3. Go to Settings → Subscription.

  4. On the right-hand side of the page, click the blue Cancel button.

  5. A pop-up form will appear — fill it out and submit. This confirms your request.

Can't find the Cancel button?

This is the most common issue. Try these steps in order:

  1. Go directly to dash.reviews.io/subscription — this bypasses the navigation and opens the Subscription page directly.

  2. Check you're logged in as the main account admin. Sub-users and team members do not see the Cancel button. Visit your user dashboard to confirm.

  3. If your billing runs through Shopify, the Cancel button in the REVIEWS.io dashboard won't work. See the Shopify cancellation steps below instead.

  4. If the button still isn't there, start a Live Chat with us — a team member can process the cancellation on your behalf.

Once you submit the cancellation form, your cancellation is processed automatically — no confirmation email is sent. Your subscription will remain active for the remainder of your notice period (see below), then end automatically.

30-day notice period: All cancellations require 30 days' notice. If a monthly payment falls due within that period, it will be charged as your final payment.

Cancelling a Shopify Billing Subscription

If your REVIEWS.io subscription is billed through Shopify, you must cancel it directly through your Shopify admin — the cancel option in the REVIEWS.io dashboard will not apply to your subscription.

To cancel:

  • Log in to your Shopify admin.

  • Go to Apps.

  • Find REVIEWS.io and click Cancel subscription.

The same 30-day notice period and final payment policy applies to Shopify billing cancellations.

What happens after you cancel?

Here's what to expect once your cancellation is processed:

  • Your reviews are safe. All reviews you've collected remain tied to your account — they are not deleted.

  • Widgets and public display will stop working once your subscription ends. Reviews will no longer show on your site.

  • Review invitations will stop sending after cancellation.

  • Account access: You can still log in, but you won't be able to reply to reviews or access premium features without an active plan.

  • Imported reviews (from Loox, Trustpilot, Yotpo, etc.) also remain on your account. They will not be deleted, but will stop displaying on your site.

  • Invoices: You can download past invoices from Settings → Billing at any time, including after cancellation.

Want to reactivate?

You can reactivate your subscription at any time by going to Settings → Subscription and choosing a plan. If your account was closed due to a lapsed payment, contact us via Live Chat and we'll help you get back up and running.
