Cancelling or downgrading your REVIEWS.io subscription does not delete your reviews. Here's a full breakdown of what happens to your data, widgets, and features in each case.
What changes when you downgrade
Your reviews
All reviews collected or imported during a higher-tier plan remain on your account after downgrading — they are not deleted.
Your widgets
Widgets tied to features not included in your lower plan will stop displaying on your storefront. Your review data stays intact — if you upgrade again, those widgets will be restored.
Plan features
Features not available on your new plan — such as certain widget types, review collection options, or integrations — will become inaccessible. Before downgrading, check that the lower plan includes the features your store depends on.
Billing
A credit for the price difference is automatically applied to your account and used against future invoices. Refunds are not issued for plan downgrades.
What changes when you cancel
Your reviews
Collected reviews are kept. All reviews tied to your account remain — they are not deleted when you cancel.
Replying to reviews is disabled. You lose the ability to respond to reviews unless you re-subscribe.
New review collection stops. Any review invites queued or in progress at the time of cancellation will not be sent or received.
Your widgets
Review widgets on your website will stop displaying once your account is cancelled.
You should remove widget code from your site to avoid broken displays.
Your billing
No further charges are made after cancellation.
If your current billing period has already been paid, your account stays active until that period ends.
A 30-day notice period applies — any payment due within this window will be processed as your final charge.
Re-subscribing
You can re-subscribe at any time. Your collected reviews will still be available when you return. Contact support if you need help restoring your account.
