How to reactivate your REVIEWS.io account after cancellation

Step-by-step guide to reactivating a cancelled or lapsed REVIEWS.io account, including what happens to your reviews, widgets, and features when you return.

If you've previously cancelled your REVIEWS.io subscription and want to come back, you can reactivate your account at any time. Your collected reviews are never deleted — they'll be waiting for you when you return.

Standard reactivation (REVIEWS.io billing)

If your subscription was billed directly through REVIEWS.io:

  1. Log in to your REVIEWS.io dashboard at dash.reviews.io/login.

  2. Click Account in the left-hand sidebar.

  3. Go to Settings → Subscription.

  4. Choose a plan and confirm your selection.

  5. Enter or confirm your payment details to complete the reactivation.

Your account will be reactivated immediately and all features included in your chosen plan will be restored.

Reactivation for Shopify billing accounts

If your REVIEWS.io subscription was originally billed through Shopify, reactivation works differently. Contact support via Live Chat and the team will walk you through the correct steps for your account.

Account closed due to a lapsed payment

If your account was closed because a payment failed or lapsed rather than through a deliberate cancellation, you won't be able to reactivate through the standard subscription page. Contact support via Live Chat with your company name and domain and the team will restore your access.

What comes back when you reactivate

Reactivating your subscription restores access to everything that was paused when you cancelled:

  • Your reviews — all collected and imported reviews remain on your account and are not deleted during cancellation.

  • Your widgets — review widgets on your site will start displaying again once your plan is active.

  • Review invitations — you can resume sending review invite emails and SMS.

  • Replying to reviews — the ability to respond to reviews is restored with any active plan.

  • Plan features — features available on your chosen plan become accessible immediately.

Choosing a different plan tier on reactivation may mean some features differ from your original subscription. Check the plan comparison before confirming to make sure you have the features you need.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my reviews if I wait a long time before reactivating?

No. Reviews are never deleted due to account inactivity or cancellation. They remain tied to your account indefinitely, regardless of how long you've been inactive.

Can I reactivate on a different plan from the one I was on before?

Yes. When you reactivate, you choose your plan fresh — you are not locked back into your previous plan. You can select any currently available plan.

Can I reactivate if my account was closed for a Terms of Service violation?

Accounts closed due to Terms of Service violations cannot be reactivated. This applies whether the closure was due to a restricted business type or a policy breach. Contact support if you believe the closure was made in error.
