If you can't log in to your REVIEWS.io account, use the checks below to identify the cause. The most common reasons are: the wrong login method, an expired password, an unverified account, or a cancelled subscription.
Step 1 — Check which login method your account uses
REVIEWS.io supports two login methods. Using the wrong one will always show "Invalid username or password" — even if your credentials are correct.
If you signed up with… | You must log in with… |
Email and password | Email and password at dash.reviews.io/login |
Google (Gmail) | Sign in with Google — not email and password |
Your company's SSO/SAML system | Your company's SSO link — password login is disabled when SAML is active |
Password resets only work for email/password accounts. If your account uses Google SSO, requesting a password reset will not grant access — use Sign in with Google instead.
Step 2 — Reset your password (email accounts only)
If you use email and password to log in and have forgotten your password:
Go to dash.reviews.io/login and click Forgot password.
Enter the email address linked to your REVIEWS.io account.
Check your inbox and your spam/junk folder for the reset email.
Click the link in the email and set a new password.
Try logging in with the new password.
If the reset email doesn't arrive: check your spam folder, wait 2–3 minutes, then try again. If you're unsure which email is on the account, try any addresses you may have used when signing up.
Step 3 — If you reset your password but still can't log in
This is the most common reason Fin can't resolve a login issue. If a password reset completes successfully but login still fails, the cause is almost always one of the following:
Your subscription has lapsed or your payment card has expired — when a plan is cancelled due to a failed payment, login is disabled. You'll need to contact support to reactivate your account and update your billing details.
You're logging in with a different email than the one on your account — try any other email addresses you may have used.
Browser cache or cookie conflict — clear your browser cache or try an incognito/private window and log in again at dash.reviews.io/login.
Tip: If login redirects you to a subscription or payment page after entering your credentials, this confirms your account has lapsed due to billing. Contact support to restore access.
Step 4 — Activating a new account
If you've just signed up and can't access your dashboard, your account may need to be activated before you can log in.
Check your inbox for a verification email from REVIEWS.io and click the activation link.
If the email hasn't arrived, check your spam/junk folder.
Verification emails are only sent to business domain email addresses (e.g. name@yourcompany.com). Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, and other free email providers are not accepted.
If you can't find the email, contact support via live chat with your company name and domain — the team can manually activate your account.
Step 5 — Shopify users: logging in via Shopify
If your REVIEWS.io account is connected to Shopify, you can access the dashboard directly through Shopify without a separate login:
In Shopify, go to Apps.
Find and click REVIEWS.io.
This will redirect you directly into your REVIEWS.io dashboard.
If this isn't working, check that your Shopify user account has the correct staff permissions to access the app. Contact your Shopify store owner to verify this. You can also try logging in directly at dash.reviews.io/login using the email address associated with your Shopify account.
When to contact support
Contact support via live chat from the REVIEWS.io website if:
Your account has been cancelled and you need it reactivated
You've completed a password reset but still can't log in
Your new account hasn't been activated after more than 24 hours
You no longer have access to the email address on your account
When you contact support, include your company name and domain (e.g. yourcompany.com) so the team can locate your account quickly.
