Here's a quick guide to getting up and running with the review collection in your REVIEWS.io account right away! πŸ‘‡

Set Your Account Details

In order to set your account up correctly, you will need to add your correct account details via the Account Details section.

Please read this guide for further information on how to set up account details!

Design your Collector Page

When your customer clicks the 'Write a Review' button on your email templates, they are directed to a landing page where you can add customisation to suit your brand.

Navigate to Collection > Collector Page πŸ”–

You may want to design your collector page to match your brand guidelines. You can design your collector page here.

Setting up the Product Catalogue

When starting your REVIEWS.io account you may be planning on collecting reviews for the products you're selling. For this to be possible, you will need to submit your data feed as shown below ⬇️

Once that is set up your product catalogue will begin to populate and you can begin asking for product reviews. For more information on this, the Custom Product Catalogue article goes into further detail.

Note: It is possible to incrementally submit your product catalogue when submitting the invitation data via API.

Setting up the Invitation Process

Once you have everything set up in the account, you can start to set up your invitations. This can be done through one of our automated methods or through a manual method.

The automated options are to send through BCC (available on any plan), API (Plus plan only) or Dynamic Link (Grow and Plus plan). The manual methods are Quick Invite (available on any plan), which is one customer at a time, and our Review Booster (Start-up or above), which will need a CSV file with customer information.

Create an On Brand Email Template

If you're not using the dynamic link, you'll need an email template in order to begin collecting reviews. You have multiple choices depending on your plans with REVIEWS.io:

πŸ“§ Company Review Request (great if you are using Google AdWords!)

πŸ“§ Product Review Request (perfect for Google Shopping and Organic Stars on product pages)

πŸ“§ Combined Review Request (Ask for a company review first and then a product review in one email if you are looking to collect both)

πŸ“§ Third Party Request (For asking for reviews on any third-party sites you may have integrated).

Follow the link here for more detailed instructions to create your email templates!

Setting up Widgets

When reviews start to come in you may want to display them on your site. You can choose from our selection of widgets in the widget library shown here πŸ‘‡

When you have selected the widget you would like to add to your store, you can take the widget code and then use that to paste it into the code for your site.

If you are trying to add a product-specific widget, you will need to add the SKU dynamically and remove the [] brackets. The SKU must be the exact same as your product catalogue.

It will look something like this πŸ‘‡

Once you have completed the above 6 steps, you are all set to begin your review collection! πŸŽ‰
