Step One: Basecamp

To start syndicating your reviews with Bazaarvoice, Reviews.io must be added to a Basecamp channel created per your agreement with Bazaarvoice. Once syndication is confirmed through this step, we’ll just need to confirm the following items are correct within your Reviews.io account:

  1. Product Catalogue contains all relevant products.

  2. GTIN/UPC is correct and matches what is stored in Bazaarvoice.

  3. Product Grouping is accurate and aligns with what you expect to see across retailers.

In some cases, businesses sell products through retailers that are not listed on their own online store. For example, a beverage company might sell 6- and 12-packs online but offer a 4-pack exclusively through a retailer. In such cases, you may want reviews grouped across all sizes. To accommodate this, you can create a custom product catalogue that includes the product name, SKU, GTIN, and grouping information. For further details, refer to this guide on Product Grouping.

Step Two: Sending Product Data to Bazaarvoice

After setting up and confirming details in Basecamp, it’s time to sync your product catalog with Bazaarvoice. This will be actioned on the Reviews.io side, and we will let you know as soon as its completed within Basecamp. From there, Bazaarvoice will provide us with a catalog health score and let us know whether we are ready to begin the import of historical review data.

Step Three: Sending Review Data to Bazaarvoice

Once an adequate health score is provided by Bazaarvoice, we can begin the historical content import. This step can have a longer turnaround time depending on the complexity of the product catalog. In addition to this, the content import is subject to a separate review by Bazaarvoice’s Authenticity team as they require all content to be sent over regardless of moderation status.

Step Four: Project Completion

From this point, much of the organization of the reviews and which retailers they will be sent to will be handled between the business and Bazaarvoice. In the event changes must be made to the Reviews.io catalog and you would like these reflected on the retailer side, we can resend this information to Bazaarvoice at your request. You will want to reach out to your Success Manager or our support team to action this.

This guide helps ensure that the Bazaarvoice syndication process runs smoothly, offering a seamless experience for both brands and retailers by maximizing review coverage across multiple platforms.
