Syndicate your reviews with the Shop App

Requirements

⭐️ Active REVIEWS.io account (Essentials, Start-Up, Grow, Plus, Shopify Free, Shopify Launch, and Shopify Launch Plus) with Shopify integrated


Navigation 📍

To find the option to activate this integration, you would need to go to Integrations >> Shopify in the dashboard. Within this page, there will be the option to "enable Shop App integration".


Instructions ⚙️

Once you have clicked into the Shopify integration page, there will be the option to enable the "Shop App integration". You can do that by activating the toggle as shown below👇

Note: If we do not have the relevant permissions, you may need to reauthenticate the integration. When clicking the reauthenticate button, you’ll be taken to your Shopify Admin to update this:

When you have enabled your integration, the syndication progress will begin. This will take around 48 hours to complete. You can see if the syndication is still in progress from your dashboard.

Once the syndication has completed, you'll be able to see any reviews that were left on REVIEWS.io and connected to an order in Shopify from the Shop App. Reviews left in the Shop App will also start pulling in to the REVIEWS.io dashboard.

The Shop App reviews will also pull into the widgets on your website👇

Important: To enable the Shop App Integration, you must have the Shopify Product Feed enabled.


FAQs:

Can I manage my reviews from Shop in REVIEWS.io?

No, this will need to be managed in Shop, however, we will provide direct links to the review within the Shop App for easy access to the reviews.

If I reply, moderate, or edit a review in REVIEWS.io, will this be updated in Shop?

Yes! We will keep all reviews updated across both platforms.

Can I control which reviews are migrated to Shop?

No, all verified reviews, which are connected to a Shopify order, will be syndicated to Shop

Some of my Shop reviews are missing from REVIEWS.io

There are a number of reasons why there could be small discrepancies, this could include:

  • No product attached to the review within Shopify

  • The product has been archived in Shopify and is not present in the REVIEWS.io product catalogue

  • The review does not contain any content

Some of my REVIEWS.io reviews are missing within Shop

There are occasions where we are not able to send reviews to Shop, these reasons can include:

  • We cannot find a matching order within Shopify (This is based on Order ID + Email + Shopify Domain)

  • We cannot find a matching product within Shopify

  • The review has not passed Shopify Content Moderation check
