When setting up your REVIEWS.IO account to operate in different languages, it is important to make sure these changes are made at every step in your customer's journey - from leaving a review to reading them on your website.

This article will explain to you how to make the relevant change, and what the changes will impact.

There are four areas that you need to particularly pay attention to when settings up your REVIEWS.IO for multi-lingual capabilities.

  1. Inviting the customers to write a review

  2. Collecting the reviews

  3. Tagging the reviews

  4. Publishing of the Widgets

Inviting the customers to write a review

The vast majority of clients will invite customers to write a review with an email invitation. This can be done either via our systems, using our email templates, or you can use your own email marketing platform in combination with our Dynamic Link.

Regardless of which option you choose, it is important to ensure that the customer is redirected to the Collector Page in the appropriate language.

Collector Page

The Collector Page is where your customers will be writing their reviews. As such, it’s critical that the customers are presented with the Collector Page in their language. Not only will this ensure all of your customers can understand what you're asking them to review and result in many more reviews, but this can also help inform the customer which language their review should be written in.

User Language Tagging

If you are collecting reviews in multiple languages, ensuring that the collected reviews are tagged with the associated language ensures that the widgets integrated on your website can display the fitting reviews for your website. This also makes it easier to filter through the reviews within the dashboard.

Publishing

The majority of our widgets already support a wide range of languages. However, some widgets do require manual translations to be added within the script. Unfortunately, there are some widgets that we can't currently translate. The article below lists all of the widgets and their translation capabilities.
