My account hasn't been activated — what to do

What to do if your REVIEWS.io account is stuck pending activation — covers verification emails, email requirements, website requirements, and how to request manual activation.

After signing up, most REVIEWS.io accounts are activated within a few minutes once you click the verification link in your email. If your account still isn't active, one of the steps below will usually fix it.

Step 1 — Check for the verification email

REVIEWS.io sends a verification email to the address you signed up with as soon as your account is created.

  • Check your spam or junk folder — verification emails are sometimes filtered

  • Search your inbox for an email from REVIEWS.io

  • Make sure you're checking the correct inbox — the one matching the email address you signed up with

Once you find the email, click the activation link inside it. You'll then be prompted to set your password and log in at dash.reviews.io/login.

Step 2 — Check you used a business email address

REVIEWS.io requires a business domain email address to activate an account. Free email providers are not accepted.

Not accepted: Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, and other free email providers. Accepted: Emails using your own business domain — e.g. name@yourcompany.com.

If you signed up with a Gmail or similar address, your account cannot be activated. You'll need to sign up again using a business domain email address. Contact support via live chat and they can help you transfer your details across.

Step 3 — Check your website is live

Your business website must be publicly accessible before your account can be activated. If your site is still under construction, in maintenance mode, or not yet launched, activation will be held until it is live.

Once your website is live, contact support via live chat with your company name and domain and the team can activate your account manually.

Step 4 — Request manual activation

If you've completed the steps above and your account is still not active after 24 hours, the REVIEWS.io team can activate it manually. Contact support via live chat and include:

  • Your company name

  • Your website domain (e.g. yourcompany.com)

  • The email address you signed up with

Support is available 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

My account was rejected — why?

In some cases, accounts are reviewed against REVIEWS.io's Terms & Conditions before activation. If your account has been rejected, it is usually because:

  • Your business falls into a restricted category (see below)

  • The details provided during sign-up could not be verified

  • Your website was not live or accessible at the time of review

The following business types are not eligible for a REVIEWS.io account and cannot be approved:

  • Essay writing services and academic essay mills

  • Forex, stock, crypto, and brokerage services

  • Online casinos and sports betting platforms

  • Dating and adult services

  • Research chemicals, peptides, and unapproved pharmaceuticals

  • Gaming boosting services

  • Services selling social media metrics (followers, likes, views)

If your business was rejected and you believe this was in error, contact support via live chat with your company name, domain, and a brief description of your business. The team can review your case.
